Вот  я столкнулся с проблемой, указал на неё френду:

"к сожалению, сильно больше 100 записей в одну метку лучше не помещать: более ранние - жж не показывает. Это значит, что метку "искусство", к примеру, вы увидите в урезанном виде, т.е., только 157 последних записей: http://clement.livejournal.com/?skip=156&tag=%D0%B8%D1%81%D0%BA%D1%83%D1%81%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B2%D0%BE Поскольку этой меткой помечено 264 записи, это означает, что еще более ста записей видно не будет."

In the past, LiveJournal only displayed 100 entries for each tag in tag view; although more entries could use each tag, the least-recently tagged entries would not display in tag view for tags that were used more than 100 times. In June 2007, this number was increased to 1000, but if any of your tags were used more than 100 times before this increase took place [http://community.livejournal.com/lj_releases/19891.html], you will need to manually un-tag and then re-tag the entries that did not display previously before they will be displayed in tag view now. In addition, please note that if you have an entry that is filtered to multiple custom friends groups, each custom friends group will count as a separate time a particular tag was used. Thus, if you have filtered any entries to multiple custom friends groups, there may be a difference between the number of entries you see using the tags for those entries and the number given on the Manage Tags page.

Я, не читая по английски, воспользовался переводчиком.

Понял. что тэги, заведённые до увеличения квоты до 1000 (до июня 2007), работают по старому, и их надо вручную переделывать.

что они предлагают делать с ними?
