"I'm not sure how good a "history of third wave black metal" book can be with only 50 pages of material. From the description of the book to the book itself, there is not one ounce of truth in it. The author is not "renown", the book is not a "bestseller", and there is no "history" in the book at all. There's a very brief description of the "third wave of black metal" which really doesn't describe anything. The book mainly consists of 3-page chapters of around ten bands, only three of which most black metal fans have ever heard of (Von, Von Goat and Vesperian Sorrow). However, the other bands are considered (by the author) to be the most influential third wave black metal bands of all time. This book is nonsense. However, I DID get a good laugh reading it. So $17 for a 50-page book of black metal "history", though ridiculous in price, actually entertained me slightly."

"This "book" is a joke and a great big sham, dumped out by Antoine Grand as a way to draw attention to his band, Phantom. There is no official third wave of black metal, nor is this Phantom band influential or well-known in any way. The only person who seems to think highly of their material is Antoine himself, who has spammed links to Phantom songs on metal forums (posting under the guise of Morsay), and writes up blog articles fellating his own music. It's a sad case of delusional egotism; of someone wanting to have a place in history, yet unable to earn it rightfully due to lack of musical talent."
