So as the title says next year if all goes well and as plan I’ll be joining the military to get away from my family due to personal reasons. Living with them is taking a toll on my mental health they’re very controlling and they fail to realize I’m an adult (I’m 20). The reason why I’m still with them is because financially unstable and don’t have a job or anything if I had a job I’d definitely save money and get away but the problem is I’ve been applying for a job for months and months and my family either talk me out of it and find a way to stop me or if it’s not that It’s like my applications get ghosted so I’m kinda stuck rn. School wasn’t my thing and my aunt basically forced me to enroll into college without my will and I’ll be going on campus as of next month and the college I’m going to has no formal so I’d be just going on campus and coming back home which I’m trynna avoid. Also if my family knows I’m joining the military they’d be pissed and I do realize that if I do apply to join the military they’d be sending mails to my address etc and my aunt consistently checks the mails and I don’t want her to know I’ll be joining the military cause as I said if she realizes she’d be pissed along with the rest of my family I’m trynna do it secretly. It’s crazy how I’m 20 and I don’t even have control over my own life because of them. I really do want to join the military to get the experience and to also get away from my crazy controlling family the military is the only way out for me any tips would be appreciated.
