His writings are read and quoted with great avarice and appreciation by those who hold him in great esteem. He is seen as a fallen warrior whose crimes were committed while in battle - the greatest battle of modern history, according to many. That Lane has been able to write and publish his hatred and his "teachings" while incarcerated seems to be counter-productive to the premise of "removing the criminal element from society." If anything, his contribution to the white supremacist movement has been enhanced by his restraint. That this irony has not been lost on Lane is evidenced in his following statement: �And of course, death or imprisonment is the best way for a revolutionary to gain credibility. In a strange way I must thank the tyrants, liars and devils incarnate who put me here."

По обычному - за разжигание.

Им пришили организацию преступной группировки,
за публикацию каких-то идиотских расстрельных списков.
Но старичок был совершенно безобидный, вроде бы, изучал
конспирологию и закономерности устройства пирамид,
и грозил американцам революцией.

Расизм сам по себе штука обыкновенно весьма некрасивая, но в Америке
это часто не более чем одна из форм нон-конформизма - Метцгер
(ближайший единомышленник Лэйна) делал неоднократно
совместные пресс-конференции с "Черными пантерами"
и активно с ними сотрудничал.

Да и Бойд Райс тоже обличен в про скинхедских убеждениях. Естественно несостоятельных. Вообще в США оффиширльно считается что "рассовая ненависть" явление в котором виноваты исключительно белые...значит так и есть.

Lane was serving a 190-year consecutive life sentence for
racketeering, conspiracy and violating the civil rights of
radio talk show host Alan Berg on June 18, 1984. Berg was
shot and killed in the driveway of his Denver home, by
three members of The Order, of which Lane was a
member. Lane expressed satisfaction at Berg's death, but
denied any personal involvement in Berg's murder. Lane was
also prosecuted for sedition, but was acquitted for lack
of evidence.

The Order, a white nationalist organization spawned by

were convicted of conspiracy, as well as violations of
Berg's civil rights and the RICO statutes. Lane was
sentenced to a 190-year consecutive life sentence and died
in prison on 28 May 2007.
