I got it! Obviously, Obama's Nobel Prize is not a typical accomplishment prize because everybody knows that he hasn't done much on the world stage yet. The "what is it for?" logic simply does not apply here. I think the prize is a signing bonus that the Nobel committee decided to give Obama for agreeing to become an American president. They couldn't give it to him before the elections, so they waited until after the inauguration to make the decision. |
