it's great to feel like a genius.
btw, terror management theory has its limitations. at a certain point you reach a state when you are no longer driven by the fear of dying. rather, it's a sadness-like sense (the japanese have a special word for it i now forget) that life might be shorter than it ought to be.
p.s. it appears that i have a solution to the happiness problem. if today's date were july 7 it would be really easy for me to come up with a story that seven is my lucky number - 07/07/07. but it's only 07/05/07, so we have to wait until saturday to announce the solution. |
