| The tragedy in Spain |

I just learned
about those horrible bombings that happend in Spain this morning. It
is really difficult to say something meaningful here. A really, really, really
sad day... My heart goes out to the victims
and their families.
These terrorist acts expose vulnerability of
a developed democratic society that relies on peaceful means to resolve internal
conflicts. It is clear that our civil liberties will be negatively affected.
The question is - do we have enough courage and wisdom to protect ourselves
from real, as well as imaginary threats?
I hate to say that, but it feels like we are in the 3rd year of world
war IV.
