The best thing about Troy is that there will be hundreds, maybe even thousands of people around the world, who after watching the movie would make an effort to read The Iliad

Too bad they show Odysseus as an older wiser man. What a disservice to the younger generation. If I remember it correctly, he couldn't be much older than Achilles. He was just a bit smarter( and human). That's all. It's The Odyssey that made him older and wiser.

Also, it was a good idea to drop the gods from the story. It wouldn't add anything of significance.

Btw, Achilles sounded almost buddhist when he talked about the gods ;-)

это действительно хороший фильм? стоит затраченного на него времени?

я просто боюсь испортить свое впечатление от Илиады дешевой постановкой со сверх-дорогими спецэффектами.

Встала из Мрака младая, с перстами пурпурными, Эос...

Шрек-2 определенно лучше :)

Особых спец-эффектов в Трое нет, но батальные сцены сделаны неплохо.
Актеры играют посредственно, Елена ходит, как корова, смотрит большими красивыми глазами, только что не мычит.

Что посоветовать... Если нет времени перечитать Иллиаду, то определенно сходи в кино :)
