life: an observation [Sep. 17th, 2004|09:29 am]

my days that for whatever reason start without meditation and tai-chi are usually lost to scatterbrain activities, e.g. LJ.
in general, LJ stimulates entropy of attention. it diffuses thought and time through tens or even hundreds of disjointed mind lenses, leaving one with intricate light patterns, but no image.

By the way, it's absolutely clear that Kerry has lost it. His inability to capitalize on bad economy, job losses, record budget deficit, ill-conceived and no-end-game war in Iraq, hysterical incompetence of "the war on terror", the dumbness of the figurehead president, and etc. shows that Democrats don't have a good plan to get out of that mess either. Criticizing Bush for being who he is is not going to help it, because this is a very old news. Everybody already used to it. The Republican team lead by Carl Rove showed that you can win with a losing hand. By a landslide.

exactly. Add a good dose of fear to the mix, and a losing hand becomes a winning hand.

fear has always been a control factor. but also, one thing in particular they did really well: they showed that Kerry's program is not much better than W's, so there's no real need to change the captain.
Ah, well... in any case I win my old presidential bet :)
