The law of life is simple: safety in numbers - children, grandchildren, people who repeat words after you, or money they pay for doing your words. But then, what's the meaning of this progress cycle? We know its name (God), even its value (42), but what for? All we do within its boundaries is multiply and communicate. Faster and faster.

For example, two thousand years ago Julius Cesar wrote: "During their training they (Druids) are said to learn a great number of verses by heart – so many, in fact, that some people spend twenty years over their course of instructions. They do not think it right to commit these doctrines of theirs to writing, though for most other purposes they use the Greek alphabet."

You see, I can quote him now in English, but what where the songs of Druids that died with their learned hearts? But who cares.
Because we’ve got blogging and googling. If it is not blogged, it is not googled. And if it is not googled today, it is not going to be repeated tomorrow. The whole world is compressed to the quickly searchable, which ends up being Britney Spears anyway.

Images are next. They are already moving in. Gigapixels of them. Let’s see. If you invite two billion Chinese and stick a digital camera in each one of their hands, how many wedding pictures can you take?

Then, of course, the raw experiences of making babies. From overeating to over-feeling. Like TV on drugs, communicated faster and faster through our world-wide neuron fiber-wires.
Whatever you create sooner or later becomes just another tool for having fun. And, who knows, maybe that is why the one was so upset when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge.
