under the influence of "Getting things done" realized that russian_haiku@lj is the only one of my LJ activities that remotely resembles a project. everything else is entertainment. what a waste. then, if it's a project, i should be translating a haiku a day, and cut down on everything else. also there needs to be a mechanism to periodically review the translations as well as my own haiku. |

Take the life too seriously - and you'll miss it. F*&^ mechanisms. "Getting things done" - it's for Mon-Fri 9am-5pm - the time for being a mechanism.
:) I like your attitude, and I openly admit of being under the influence :)
Fortunately, I don't work mon-fri 9-5, so it takes a conscious effort to be organized. You won't believe how much stuff needs to be done in order not to take life too seriously :) And if I get more organized, I will finish the book I promised to my colleagues long time ago AND I will spend more time on haiku, pictures and translations. Etc, etc, etc...
oh, yeah - working on something like a book makes a big difference. it takes cargo ships loaded with time. good luck with it!
it just... I don't know - kind of scary thing for me to to think about something like... you HAVE TO sit for zazen 7.30-8.15am then don't miss the sunset at... let's check the almighty Internet (checking right now... :o) ...at 5.59pm - aha I gonna drive NNW at I-90 and it will be right in my windshield and with (what's the forecast?) partly clowdy and SE wonds 10-20mpe it must be beautiful... then (what's my schedule?) aha, I have time at 7-9pm to stop by Borders and check out the new book "Life For Complete Idiots" :o)))
you know what I mean :o) (hmmm... is there such a book? I better stop by and check!)
ну вот, я пропустила голосование. Но зато внимательно прочитала все хайку. | |
