I'd rather say "MOST poems"... Adequate translations are so painfully scarce, and even those often add their own flavor that modifies original feeling.
You are right. Good poetry translations are hard to come by. Nevertheless, really great works manage to get to their world-wide audiences in a fairly good shape. | |
