The Age of Boredom |

When we apply the Pareto Principle to creativity, we immediately realize that people spend eighty percent of their lives doing mundane boring tasks. Edison's phrase that "Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration" is another indication that even the so called creative types are as prone to this affliction as everybody else is. It's quite possible that evolution had not prepared us for being constantly bored - humans were not used to living in highly regulated societies based on standard "division of labor" interactions.
Btw, it's all great news to the entertainment industry. Long live boredom! |
