Wow, Madtsoia, an extinct genus of madtsoiid snake, had an incredibly wide geographic and temporal distribution and represents the family of snake ancestors known as Madtsoiidae from my location! It's fascinating to learn about the evolutionary relationships of Madtsoia and other madtsoid snakes.
