i do not think it is generally good to extend term to encompass everything in the world.
first and foremost we need to solve the problem of the RIGHT TO DIE.
originally the term euthanasia was used to indicate an "assisted suicide",
later on it was kidnapped by moralfages and deliberately confused with "unsolicited termination" in order to defame the idea of assisted suicide.

so, they have succeeded, euthanasia became a synonym of any killing.
now you want to extend it to abortions.
