We at ATO Records are aware of the problems being experienced by certain fans due to the copy-protection of our distributor. Neither we nor our artists ever gave permission for the use of this technology, nor is it our distributor’s opinion that they need our permission.

The band posted a response on their official forum apologizing for the protection and detailing ways to circumvent the protection and rip their songs to PC. Switchfoot linked to open-source program CDex’s download page with instructions on disabling the autorunning protection and ripping the files to MP3. Many of Switchfoot’s fans have been upset by the copy protection measures, and it’s nice to know the artists seem to care about the issue.”

Очень типичная, то есть, ситуация. Если вы думаете что DRM ставят авторы и|или даже правообладатели для защиты своих правообладательских интересов, то вы больше так не думайте. DRM, в массе, ставят совершенно левые персонажи, находящиеся дальше по технологической цепочке. А правообладателей, в лучшем случае, ставят в известность постфактум.

Так выяснилось, что для этого нужно править исходники lj-gate, и вообще много разного делать. Или же каждый раз идти открывать комменты вручную. Лень.

А в чем проблема то? Вроде бы точно также как и в ЖЖ нужно один раз залогиниться?
