Medical Transitioning and its Enemies
To understand gatekeeping, we need to understand its roots.

Why would some people interfere with your goal to change gender?

We can see several distinct groups of people defending the gates.

1. Gay men. They hate us, believing we betrayed their egalitarian gay community to date heterosexual men because gay men were not good enough, and they are jealous we date heterosexual men. Gay men also love dicks, so mere thoughts of us getting bottom surgery disgusts them. They think we are just confused self-hating gay twinks who must be shown the way back to the gay Jesus.

2. Lesbians. Many trans are attracted to women or just bisexual, therefore some lesbians believe we want to trick them into dating us. Other lesbians hate us for the opposite reason: doing feminizing surgeries, because in reality they want a femboy not another woman. In fact, they are okay with us as long as we are just weird femboys.

3. Heterosexual men. They believe we've betrayed masculinity and want to evade male duties, while they have to work extra hard to keep the world running. Some of them are disgusted at the idea we want to trick them into sleeping with us, similarly to the butch lesbians.

4. Heterosexual women. Just like gays, these love penises and see us evading male duties, including providing for them and their children. Other cis women see us as perverts wanting to invade female spaces, or to just make fun of femininity. Finally, some are jealous we get more attention than them.

5. Tranny chasers (including women). These perverts objectify our pre-op bodies, while some of them are closeted gay men. It disguists them we want to cut our penises off. They also love the smell of male body and sperm, which HRT removes.

6. Parents. Subconsciously even the most liberal of parents don't want their children to lose fertility and break lineage. Having normal cis children is a already a huge burden, but when a child is trans... lets say having a child with a down syndrome would be more acceptable for them.

7. Government elites. They see us as a major nuisance. We do prostitution and sell durgs. We are the nancy-boys, undermining the morals of cis men. We are the potential traitors like Chelsea Manning or that Russian ex-FSB trans girl. We need special formal procedures, like id-card gender change, anti-discrimination law and expensive surgeries to pass and pay taxes like cis people do without additional expenses. And even then we can't produce additional slaves for their economy. Many trans indeed will sacrifice anything to earn money for surgeries. There was a trans gang kidnapping people to collect the huge sums covering surgeries.

8. Conservatives. These see us undermining their conservative world view. Conservatives are rallied against us by politicians triggering moral panic.

9. Politicians. Both right-wing and left-wing. They need either a straw-man or a pink-washing tool for their propaganda.

10. Gender Queers. Politically minded perverts believe that we (truscums/transmeds) impede their leftist political cause by supporting the "obsolete" gender norms, while the surgeries and HRT are the thing of the past, since one should be able to self-identify whatever one wants. Similarly to gay men (and many of queers are gay men) they insist we should be more body-positive and accept our manliness, since removing our dicks is "internalized homophobia".

11. Other trans. Lets be honest, due to no normal work, we are in competition for the sex work market, and here are just so many perverts per square meter area. We also take valuable quotas for the trans surgeries where these are covered by insurance. And in general the more trans here are the nastier the backlash, making it harder to fly under the radar. So many of our trans sisters will do their best to prevent you from transitioning.

12. We ourselves. We keep questioning our desire to be women. We keep doubting our abilities to achieve it. We keep conforming to the hostile external forces.

Given so many enemies, we need to think about a really good strategy and pick our fights really well.
