Since the computer was targeted at education institutions, it had to be protected from users damaging the OS.
After the configuration, !Boot and !Apps folders got locked and a special pin on the motherboard was set, which prevented modifying CMOS.
Then the a padlock was put onto the case, to prevent people from resetting the pin or dumping the HDD.
