хм, кажется, понял сам - cloud может значить еще и "толпа"...

Ne mozhet znachit' "tolpa", nikakim obrazom.

Tekst znachit bukval'no to, chto vy i podumali, tipa "mnozhestvo oblakov proklyatie moe". Smysla ehto ne imeet. Poehziya. Kto-to nakurilsya. Drugoj variant -- citata, neponyatno otkuda (google).

Спасибо. Поиск в Google, правда, ничего не дает. А значение cloud в смысле "толпа, множество" я увидел в Яндексе:

Правда, этот текст был написан лет 25 назад, насколько я понял, в Германии, и, наверное, в современном английском так уже не говорят.

Наверноу "Проклят небесами" значит обреченный божьим предназначением или "проклят под небесами" значит на этой земле
