The body is the tree of enlightenment, 身是菩提樹, The mind is like a bright mirror’s stand; 心如明鏡臺。 Time after time polish it diligently, 時時勤拂拭, So that no dust can collect. 勿使惹塵埃。 Enlightenment is not a tree, 菩提本無樹, The bright mirror has no stand; 明鏡亦非臺。 Originally there is not one thing— 本來無一物, What place could there be for dust? 何處惹塵埃。 |
