Not everybody is a rusophile here. Many people still hate Russia for soviet opression. There are lots of museums about Gulags here.

But most Hungarians are nationalists and just associate soviet union with national opression. And as the result they associate national freedom with american-style free capitalism. Hungary under Orbant and FIDES is very much like a softcore liberterian state. Here for example, local communities can bun gays and transgenders on municipal level.

Nevertheles, Budapest is a very cosmopoliten city. It reminds me Moscow in late 2000-s and gives me some nostalgic vibes. Many educated hungarians from Budapest have very liberal EU-aligned worldview and actively fleeing country to Germany and Austria. And rural and small town dwellers are those who vote Orbant and Jobik-type ultra-nationalists. You can conclude that this happens cause they live on the soil and have this mysterius connection to eurasioan soul, you are talking about.

Hm. Interesting. Postmodern wins. The main Dougin's problem there indeed isn't enough people 'from the soil' and Dougin himself postmodern dude. I.e. they -- eurasionists -- haven't crytical mass of people 'from the soil', 'rooted to the deep national narratives' for a conservative revolution.
