Бо перший уряд «Радянської України» із центрами у Харкові, Києві та інших містах, аж до Таганрога (Народний секретаріат просто мандрував за російськими більшовицькими військами), було ліквідовано самими більшовиками внаслідок домовленостей із Німеччиною та УНР, та й радянською республікою ця Україна ніколи не називалася – більшовицький «Народний секретаріат» претендував на роль альтернативного уряду УНР на окупованій території. А от коли було зроблено другу – і вдалу – спробу й новий «український» червоний уряд було проголошено в Курську, то його столицею стала Суджа. Суджа, а не Харків. Можуть запитати, чому ж більшовики не залишилися у Курську, а поїхали до малесенького містечка на кордоні? На це питання є несподівана відповідь. А тому, що Курськ, згідно із Берестейською угодою, визнавався частиною Радянської Росії, а Суджа входила до так званої «нейтральної зони» між Росією й Україною. Й таким чином новий окупаційний уряд нібито діяв не з російської, а з нейтральної території, яку можна було оголосити – що й було зроблено – українською (згодом уряд втік до Бєлгорода, а там і до Харкова недалеко). |

Abramoff also established the International Freedom Foundation financed by the South African apartheid regime. When Abramoff left Citizens for America, he hired Arne Olsen to write a screenplay modeled after the Angolan Civil War. The film allegedly received financial aid from South Africa as part of its propaganda efforts to undermine international sympathy for the African National Congress. Production began in Swaziland, but was halted by the government in September 1987 after South African agents assassinated eleven ANC members in the country. Abramoff decided to shoot the film in Namibia, which was under South African occupation as South West Africa, despite filming in the country being discouraged by the Comprehensive Anti-Apartheid Act. When production resumed in 1988, Artists and Athletes Against Apartheid condemned the film for breaking the international boycott against South Africa. Warner Bros. Pictures, who had a negative pickup deal to release the picture on the condition that it was not filmed in South Africa, pulled out for the breach of their contract after anti-apartheid activists began picketing the studios. The Namibian reported that the South African Defence Forces provided military equipment to use during the production, including captured Soviet T-54 tanks. Active duty South African soldiers from Operation Crowbar also served extras playing Soviet Army and Cuban Revolutionary Army personnel. This allegation was later confirmed by an SADF spokesman in the pro-government newspaper Republikein. Filming occurred at an SADF film studio in Windhoek and in Swakopmund. |

Дослівно, вийдеш на вулицю, перейдеш її — в мене на вулиці десь на мурі, десь далі, ще далі були намальовані чорною фарбою оті свастики. Я то пам’ятаю, оті свастики. Щось їх тяжко було витирати, ніхто за тим не ганявся і не витирав. І я не пам’ятаю, щоби воно викликало якесь особливе збудження в суспільстві, якийсь особливий резонанс. Про то так говорили: от намалювали дітлахи, і є воно. Причому пам’ятаю, що малювали са́ме свастики, дуже любили малювати свастики — може тому, що було багато фільмів про війну, ми їх називали „кіндрушка про войнушку“. Й ігри були теж такі, про війну дуже любили грати... В отих кінострічках моїми героями завжди були Німці. Можливо, тому, що вони протистояли Совєтам, можливо тому, що я в Німцях бачив західну цивілізацію. Також і з тієї (правда, підсвідомої) причини, що Совєти зверталися до мене з екрану ворожою мовою. Слово „русифікація“ було чи не щоденною лайкою в моїй сім'ї. Коли сьогодні я намагаюся збагнути приховані потяги дитячої симпатії до Німців, зненацька відкриваю смішну причину… краватку(!). Совєтські постановники „кіндрушка про войнушку“ допустилися помилки, коли уявили собі, що „гімнастьорка“ совєтского воїна викличе у львівського дитинчати більше естетичного захоплення, аніж вишукана чорна маринарка ґестапівця з краваткою під ковніром білосніжної сорочки. Ще й прикрашена свастикою. Хоча насправді ґестапо ходило в зеленому. Але ми цього не знали. В европейця знак сварґи завжди викликатиме сильніше почуття споріднення, аніж ідіотична большевицько-американська п'ятикутна зірка. Трудно. Хоча і в родині, і серед ближчого оточення Німці ніяк не сприймалися за друзів, оця нацистська романтика закоренилася в наших підлітків. В мене є знимка, на якій троє нас, однокласників 9го року навчання, під час відпочинку в шкільному туристичному таборі виструнчилися рядочком наголяса в самих шортах (бо тепло) з німецькими шоломами на голові (і де ми їх узяли?), з довгими тичками, які мали служити списами ранньоісторичних германських воїнів, скинувши правиці в римському привіті  |

Israel was then on a journey to win hearts and minds in the newly independent African countries, including support for civilian projects across the continent. In a telegram sent from the Israeli embassy in London on October 21, 1965, it was proposed that the Israeli president send a letter of support for the struggle for majority rule in Rhodesia, and that, “By identifying with the African elements already at this stage it will be easier for our future efforts to withstand Arab and communist defamation when the matter gets increasingly complicated.” Before the 1967 war, Israeli policy around the world, and in Africa in particular, was complicated. While it supported the "liberation" movement in Rhodesia, in the mid-60s the Israeli government also supported the murderous and corrupt regime of Mobutu Sese Seko in Zaire, aided the rise of Idi Amin in Uganda, and began building close security and diplomatic ties with the apartheid regime in South Africa. Still, at that time, Israel had the opportunity to be on the “left side” of history. However, from the moment Israel occupied the Palestinian territories, its honeymoon with African countries came to an end, and the potential for partnership with liberation movements and with global struggles for freedom and equality was greatly diminished. The new mantra of the State of Israel became: “Do not interfere in our internal affairs and we will not interfere in yours.” Meanwhile, the regime in Rhodesia changed... Robert Mugabe, who seized power in 1980, went from being a hero of the "liberation" movement to a cruel dictator who ruled the country for 37 years. Mugabe, who came to Israel in the early 1960s to request weapons and training, received 30 crowd control vehicles from Israel in the early 2000s that were used to disperse demonstrations and help oppress his people. The position of the State of Israel — as read aloud by David Ramin in 1966 at the UN General Assembly — on the importance of freedom, equality, the independence of nations, and the use of boycott sounds like science fiction today. |
