Возбужденный этим вот,
пошел я в Юзнет посмотреть, что пишут там про Tiger Lillies.

Все статьи по-русски либо про выращивание лилий.

Ну ладно, будем смотреть Tiger Lillies music

Процентов 70-80 статей, опять, в русских группах.
Из тех, что в нерусских, в основном предлагают
это дело купить.

Два исключения (единственные найденные мною

I don't think there is such a thing - because I basically like all types of
music. The best band of the 90's for me when I want to get off my head is
the Prodigy. When I want to be stupid it's something like the Tiger Lillies.
When I feel serious and usually fed up, it's Frank Black. When I feel serene
it is the Anonymous Four. You see my point ? To say that I think there is
just one best band of any period would imply that I only like one genre of
music.

FWIW, I am more than familiar with Blur. But I wouldn't put them down as one
of the best, even though I quite like their stuff. "Song 2" is one of my
favourite tracks of all time.

какой однако, удивительный пидор, да, ведь и действительно на дебилов
рассчитанная музычка. Причем почему-то на русских дебилов.

Вот именно такие говнюки, правда американские,
и уничтожили всеми много лет оплакиваемую
rec.music.industrial. Они там, правда, писали
спам не про Tiger Lillies, а про Prodigy и Rage against
the Machine. Но хрена ли разницы, стилистика та же.

Конечно, Prodigy и RatM и ярче, и популярнее.
Но в России их популярность примерно такая же,
как и везде, а с Tiger Lillies имеет место
явная аномалия, процентов этак в 800.
И непонятная совершенно.

Думается мне, что оно все случайно: кому-то в ОГИ
просто взятку дали (ну или у кого-то от ночных бдений
над интерью Чубайса и Коха крыша в непонятном
направлении поехала), а все остальные на это дело
повелись. Русский "интеллигент" существо удивительно
стадное и жвачное, да.

Уж лучше Prodigy.
