Сообщают, что полиция взяла с ее родителей подписку
о неразглашении, и пообещала, что лишат родительских
прав в противном случае; а дело об изнасиловании закрыли.

Кстати, ничего неправдоподобного. Лишиться родительских
прав можно по самым дурацким причинам, а все дела о лишении
родительских прав тотально засекреченные, и коррупция там
совершенно неописуемая, то есть российских масштабов, если
не хуже. Примеры есть в изобилии. Вот, скажем, в Лондоне была латвийская
мамаша, которую лишили ребенка по ошибке, она с этим пыталась
бороться, так все ее странички убирали из Интернета по суду, а ее саму
судили за разглашение ее же собственной истории.

Есть также немало историй про то, как те же самые "социальные
работники" (один из наиболее гнусных разрядов дегенератов)
закрывали глаза на откровенные пытки ребенка, которого в результате
запытали до смерти, практически в прямой видимости "социального
работника".

То есть "социальный работник" это вредоносная мразь, типа
кагебистов и неверных ментов, которую надо
уничтожать сразу.

Вообще идея чего бы то ни было засекречивать омерзительная.
Детям гораздо хуже от того, что их дела рассматриваются
тотально коррумпированными органами в обстановке тотальной
секретности, чем если бы все было гласно и при участии публики.
А секретность неизбежно ведет к коррупции, это практически
синонимы.

Все эти европейские законы об "охране личных данных", "праве
на забвение" и так далее - тотально фашистские и гебешные, неудивительно,
что они так нравятся путлеру. В принципе, людей, которые подобное
законодательство продвигают и поддерживают, надо уничтожать заодно с
гебней и копирастами, это не люди, а социально опасное
говно.

неправда. моя жена соц. работник и занимается тем, что выбивает у государства часы опеки (бесплатной) для инвалидов и престарелых.

в Израиле эта система как раз работает
но только в Израиле, а я писал про Британию и Германия
с удовольствием извинюсь перед израильскими социальными работниками
они хорошие неилллюзорно, много слышал

AARON MATÉ: You mentioned earlier people who are targeted for welfare fraud. In one case, you went to San Diego and profiled a woman who was targeted by this program P100—

MATT TAIBBI: Right.

AARON MATÉ: —a very invasive action in her home. Can you talk to us about that case?

MATT TAIBBI: Yeah, they have this program in San Diego where if you apply for welfare, the state gets to pre-emptively search your house to make sure that you’re not lying about, for instance, having a boyfriend. You know, so you’re a single mom. You go to the welfare office. You need financial assistance. You represent on the form that you’re not cohabiting with anybody. And just to check, they tell you to go sit tight in your house. And I’ve heard stories of people who waited, literally sitting in their house for a week, not knowing when the inspector is going to come, because if you’re not there when they come, you don’t get your welfare.

So, the person comes finally. It’s not a social worker. It’s very often a law enforcement official. They go in, and they search your house. I talked to a number of women who have recounted the experience of having their underwear drawers rifled through. You know, one woman talked about an inspector sticking his pencil end into the underwear drawer and picking out a pair of sexy panties and saying, you know, "Who do you need these for? If you don’t have a boyfriend, what’s this for?" And this is the kind of thing that people have to go through.

And I understand that, to many middle Americans, you know, welfare recipients are not—are perhaps not the most sympathetic people. But it’s very striking that, for instance, the recipients of bailouts, we don’t have the right to go in and check their books, but somebody who applies for federal assistance to feed their kids, we have the right to go through their underwear drawer. And I thought that was a striking comparison.

Taibbi then goes to town on the treatment of the unemployed. Among other absurdities, readers learn that welfare applicants are obliged to stay at home and wait for a visit from inspectors. The inspection time is not given in advance, and if you are out of the house at the time the welfare application will be cancelled. In other words, welfare applicants are literally not allowed to go out looking for work for weeks at a time following their applications!
What’s more, welfare inspectors can and will go through everything a person owns in search of anything that might invalidate a welfare claim. One of the more memorable of the horror stories recounted by Taibbi concerned a newly-arrived Vietnamese immigrant. The unfortunate woman had a pair of her own underwear waved in front of her by an inspector, who interrogated her as to why she would need such a revealing pair if she really wasn’t living with a man.
Taibbi moves on to tell the stories of “Mexican” immigrants, who are threatened with a degree of scrutiny by law enforcement that Wall St. executives never face. The anecdotes Taibbi collects are long, detailed, and deeply personal, at times heart-wrenching. These stories are perhaps the feature that most distinguishes The Divide.
It’s impossible to forget the trials and tribulations faced by Natividad Felix, an immigrant from Sinaloa living in the East L.A. projects. We also get to know Álvaro Fernández, a Colombian immigrant who was deported to Mexico; Anna and Diego, a couple erroneously charged with fraud after applying for welfare when Diego lost his fast food job as Anna was about the give birth to their first child; and Patrick Jewell, whose head was smashed into the Brooklyn pavement by plain-clothed police while we was rolling his own tobacco.
All of these people are subjected to the full force of American law enforcement, all while the perpetrators of the finance industry crimes documented by Taibbi, dozens and dozens of them, walk away without criminal charge.
As Taibbi shows, “If you’re a person of means, you get full service for all ten amendments [The Bill of Rights], and even a few that aren’t listed. But if you owe, if you rent, you get a slightly thinner, more tubercular version of the Fourth Amendment, the First Amendment, the Fifth and Sixth Amendments, and so on.”
By the end of The Divide, America gets the full Vampire-Squid treatment. The “sweepingly complex system of public-private bureaucracies that constitutes our modern politics is just a giant, brainless machine for creating social inequity. It mechanically, automatically, keeps the poor poor, devours money from the middle class, and sends it upwards. And because it’s fuelled by the irrepressibly rising vapor of our darkest hidden values, it attacks people without money, particularly non-white people, with a weirdly venomous kind of hatred.”

Благодаря публикациям turtaniat я давно понял, что прежде чем перебираться с детьми в какую-то страну, надо узнать, не слишком ли много там дозволено органам опеки.
Англия в этом отношении, пожалуй, худшая.
