IIRC, Russians banned Mastercard/Visa from their country, implementing "Mir" system.
I also see EU and Commonwealth shitholes moving towards their own payment systems.

For example, here in Netherlands everyone is force to use the so called iDEAL.
In fact, it is impossible for private person to get a debit card from Dutch bank.
They do have debit visa/master cards, but only for businesses.
Paypal is also frowned upon. Instead Nethelands tries force people using Tikkie.
That is a local paypal clone.

In fact, I had to get german debit card and a temporary US address,

Because most US sellers don't ship directly to EU.

GF9 minis were sold in EU, but local people are smarter,
so they knew the minis were unpainted. So no locals resell them.

American are dumb, buy unpainted minis, don't know what to do,
resell at ebay.

Then in US are also merchants who stash soon to be out of print stuff,
and then resell 2x-3x the price. EU for some reason never had these.

Even fucking MIR / СБП payment system isn't as idiotic given that these are country wide for 140 mil country, not for 20 mil country.

You mean you got some prepaid virtual card out of country, considering that Dutch banks don't give them? Can you get visa/mastercard credit cards from Dutch banks? If these have like a 1 month interest free, then these aren't much different from debit cards.

Платежные системы Visa и MasterCard заявили о том, что уходят из России. Они дали своим клиентам несколько дней.

Затем карты, выпущенные в России, перестанут работать за границей, а карты, выпущенные за границей, перестанут работать в России.

Фактически таким образом российская финансовая система будет отрезана от внешнего мира.

При этом внутри России платежи будут осуществляться через разработанную Центральным банком Национальную систему платежных карт (НСПК) - именно она выпускает карту «Мир».

Прикольно, Стим ломают западные корпорации: paypal, visa, mastercard
Что пишет nancygold: just nuke Russia, and China and maybe India too.
Как это поможет Стиму? Как это вообще связано с ситуацией?
