Oh, come on. There are plenty of molecular clouds in our Galaxy that have ethanol in it (together with
120+ other complex molecules (http://www.chl.chalmers.se/~numa/astrophysics/molecules/list.html)). An example of the ultracompact molecular cloud (G34.3) containing ethanol is given here

The first such cloud was discovered in 1975. I'm afraid it is pretty old news. Apparently, the aliens did not drink all of the ethanol.

You think that you are joking, right? The joke is upon you, homa. It has been recently suggested that a pattern of unidentified IR lines in one of the molecular clouds comes from an ion of theobromine (a methylxanthine alkaloid that is a purine derivative). It is the major component of cacao beans [similar purines were also identified by Hayatsu (1964 Science 146:1291)in the Orgueil meteorite]. There is a lot of strange molecules up there...

Not me, honestly :) Suppose, there're more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in our philosophy. We didn't argue about being or not being any space clouds or ET beings, just about what we're about them. Cacao and coffee beans are two different things. While theobromine is indeed present in tea and coffee, in cacao it is the primary alkaloid (0.1 wt% in dark chocolate). It is the cause of chocoholism. http://chemistry.about.com/library/weekly/aa090301a.htm

Sorry, I am not up to such a task. Perhaps a scholarly translation from Coptic into Russian will soon appear. In any case, I do not see much contradiction with the Holy Script from what I've read in the press release. In the canonical Gospels, no reason is given as to why Judas betrayed Jesus. What is said there is that he received 30 silver pieces for his betrayal. His motivation remains unknown. I am sure that he had the best intentions.
