My issue with game engines
When you use a framework, it dictates you the architecture and limits you.
In other words, it is you who gets used as tool of the framework's creators.
Game engines also invite niggers to shit out mediocrity, asset swaps and walk simulators.
Since anyone can buy some FPS template and change title screen into My First Columbine Homage.
Especially since making something unique requires very good grasp of the engine.

So I'm surprised the niggers got angry when Godot also began dictating them political views.
After all these retards can't form their own views, just like they can't author their assets.

And nope, that isn't solved by forking Godot into Nazidot or switching to Unity.

If your graphics is going to be polygonal 3d anyway, the constraining factor is negligible. An engine could be considered a presentation layer. If your innovation doesn't lie in the presentation layer there is no loss from using an engine. And even if it does, the engines support plugins, so you don't lose much at all. There just isn't much you can innovate in the engine space in terms of actual tangible progress...

I.e. innovation in 3d engines is heavily constrained by the fundamental limits of computing first and foremost (both hardware, and algorithmic), rather than some arbitrary engine choices. There is probably 1 gamedev companies in 1000 who really need a custom engine, due to the breakthrough they made, and you aren't one of them.
