QOTD If we value order and security then we're likely to think of people as basically bad. We're likely to see life as a battleground where it is the strong and the cunning who mostly win. We'll likely think in terms of beating others before they can beat us. We'll wonder how people can be controlled so that decent lives can be led despite all the selfishness and cruelty in the world. On the other hand if we value justice (as anything more than an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth), or if we value freedom or equality, we'll think of people as good too. We'll think that life is also about helping each other. We'll look for ways to be just or free or treated equally. And we'll look for ways to understand and help others so they can be treated this way too. If we believe in both order and justice (or freedom or equality) then we will see people as both good and bad. We'll think that life is about finding a balance. We'll look for ways that make the most of both one and the other. We'll practice tolerance, for example, or forbearance, or compromise. айкі кій / aiki jo У асваеньні айкідо, як і любога другога мастацтва, прыступачкі здараюцца рэдка, але запамінаюцца. Перадапошняя была дзесьці з паўгода таму, калі я адчыняў вонкі дзьверы, якія ў той-жа момант нехта з другога боку пацягнуў на сябе. Я тады нават на сякунду не згубіў баланса, як гэта здарылася-б год таму. Сёньня пасьля адпрацоўкі катаў зь кіём (дзё) вырашылі трохі пагуляцца з дзё-наге. Ну, котэгаесі й ніккё я памятаў, а сэнсэй кажа - там можна яшчэ й зрабіць сіхонаге. Ну я й зрабіў, пры тым, што ніколі яго зь дзё ня бачыў!. Прыблізна вось як тут на 31-35 секундах. | 12:52 pm [Link] | Былі ў гасьцёх у адной знаёмай жанчыны з нашага айкідо. Ў яе на сьцяне віселі старыя, як мне падалося, постэры - Бітлз, Ролінгі, Боўі і г.д. Сярод іх - сэртыфікат, які выдаюць, калі атрымліваеш чорны паяс. Я яшчэ хацеў пажартаваць, што гледзячы па таму, дзе што вісіць, айкідо ў яе вышэй за Боўі, але ніжэй за Бітлз. А тут паразмаўлялі зь ёй і высьвятлілася, што ў 1970х яна была фатографам Вось яна маладая зь Dee Dee Ramone, вось трохі пазьней з Killing Joke, воць цудоўны здымак Паці Сміт, ды й уся падборка цікавая. Я ведаю гэты рух! / I know this move! Наш сенсэй на айкідо распавёў. Ён любіць браць клясы ў другіх баявых мастацтвах, кунг фу там, каратэ, капаэйра... Ну вось ён у клясе Bāguàzhăng і тамтэйшы сенсэй кажа 'трэба рукамі зрабіць вось так; у новенькіх можа не атрымацца, але паспрабуйце хаця-б трохі імітаваць'. А наш сенсэй адказвае 'Я ведаю гэты рух! Менавіта такі я вывучыў у клясе танца жывата!' Here's a great story about my aikido sensei. He is always taking classes in other martial arts, be it kung fu, karate, capoeira, etc.... So he is in Bāguàzhăng class and the sensei there tells them to put their hands in a special way, saying 'you novices may not get it right, but try to imitate as best as you can'. To which my sensei replies - 'I know this move! It's exactly the one I learned at the belly dancing class!' Imported event Original Tags: aiki, role model |
