Начал было его переводить, даже до половины перевел,
но потом такая тоска меня охватила, что все бросил.
Ну переведу я его, а кому посылать?

"Левые" не хотят ссориться с путлером, ибо
ненавидят америку и капитализм, а путлер
и путлероиды постоянно заявляют, что они
ненавидят америку и капитализм. "Правые"
не хотят ссориться с путлером, ибо они
рабы международных корпораций, а никто лучше
путлера не соблюдает коммерческих интересов
международных корпораций.

Приличные люди все понимают, конечно, но в числе
публичных личностей, журналистов и политиков,
приличных людей просто нет. Ни у нас, естественно,
ни на "западе". По крайней мере я никого не знаю.

Dear friends,
With deepest gratitude I am thinking of you, all of you
who signed a petition for my freedom. Here, in this jail
cell number 235, I am in debt, eternal dept to you all.

Alas, the fight for a freedom of a political prisoner,
in this country, under this regime, in these times, is a
terribly hard, inhumanly difficult, almost impossible
task. This is why I am writing to you all, especially
to those who lives outside ot Russia. Though Internet
gives some degree of freedom of communication to
everybody, even to those living in Russia.
This is why I am asking you all for a big favour.

The time becomes short before my "trial" starts.
We should make as much effort as possible
to alert the folks, especially in Europe, in USA,
everywhere where people with conscience are still
in majority and can influence the government.
Let's try to let them know about this intolerable,
obscene, shameless political persecution.
A trial of a disabled person, who is facing
10 years in jail for his thoughts, his views
and his words. Let's try to contact the Western press,
Western politicians, Western human rights defenders,
to all the publicity figures of the free worls
asking them to pressure Moscow to drop the charges.
Let's make this court as public as possible.

Their strength is in silence, and ours in publicity.
Everyone of you knows this old truth. The incoming
"trial" is in itself a sufficient reason to start
a public campaign. We have to break the wall of silence
which is created in Russia around this process.

Of course, they are not going to free me, this is
impossible. However, a strong, loud public campaing
in my favour could help, at least, lower the prison
term. It could happen that the unexpected public
pressure would

Taking into accout my "recurrence", my former conviction, my refusal to confess, complete refusal to "repent" and to "ask for excuse", my sentence must be the worst possible, with absolutely no hope for any mercy. To be honest, due physical, medical, and material reasons i have no hope to survive for 10 years in a prison camp and come out alive.

Of course, if everyone's going to keep silence...

You are my last resort. Your efforts can not only help to reduce my term, but to save my life.

A second trial against one sick and disabled person, facing 10 years in jail for his thoughts, his views and his words. To contact the Western press, politicians, human rights defenders, to all the publicity figures of the free worlds asking them to pressure Moscow to drop the charges. To make my trial as public as possible.
