это очень хорошо, потому что все имущество

В качестве иллюстрации цисгендерного
мужского расизма, рассказывается, что
корейцы, которые с оружием в руках
героически сопротивлялись погромам

белыми супрематистами, на острие борьбы
белых супрематистов за белый супрематизм.

Удивительно, что ни один американец не
реагирует на подобное самым естественным
образом, "вы говорите, что сопротивляться
грабежу это расизм, ну ок, я расист, и
горжусь этим". Потому что иначе реагировать,
по-моему, невозможно. Думаю, таки почти все
именно так это и воспринимают, просто стесняются
сказать, опасаясь увольнения и деплатформинга.

Вообще, американцы очень стесняются публично
демонстрировать расизм и все прочее, осуждаемое
либеральными медиа; именно поэтому Трамп, который
по всем опросам населения отставал от Хиллари
на 10-15 процентов, выиграл выборы в 2016-м. Если
эта тенденция продолжится, на следующих выборах
он победит с разгромным счетом.

Смешная смесь анархизма ("собственность это
кража") с религиозным интерсекционализмом ("собственность
это цисгендерная расистская патриархия"). Должна,
по идее, вызывать отвращение, примерно как фотография
автора (как по мне, то большинство фотографий
трапов-интерсекционалистов вызывают желание сблевануть).
Но думаю, что для зумеров трапы это, наоборот, красиво, а
отвращение у них вызывают 1960-е с их фетишизацией свободы
секса и свободы слова, с которыми зумеры ведут войну.

Мораль: нет ничего абсолютного, что для одного человека
красота и свобода, для другого расистская цисгендерная
патриархия, и наоборот.

Жду, когда они деплатформят Мартина Лютера Кинга
и разрушат его статуи, в принципе, давно пора.

The fact is that Harvey Milk and San Francisco Mayor, George Moscone, both had an affiliation with Peoples Temple. Moreover, it is widely known that Jim Jones and his followers were instrumental getting Moscone elected as Mayor of San Francisco. In return, the Mayor appointed Jones to the San Francisco Housing Authority.

Following the horror of the deaths in Jonestown emerged rumors of a Peoples Temple hit squad which was poised to retaliate against Jones’ enemies. The FBI investigated reports that Jones paid some $10 million to this hit squad – known as “Angels” – to kill certain people in case of his death. Specifically in response to this rumor, two armed guards were placed on duty at the reception area of the Mayor’s office.

Even though the rumors eventually proved to be unfounded, they had profound implications for some former Temple members. Former associate pastor of Peoples Temple church in Los Angeles, David Wise, told me that he went into hiding for 25 years out of fear that he was on Jones’ alleged hit list. In addition, several other Temple members went underground or changed their names over fears of reprisal from Jones’ loyalists or – in some cases – from Temple adversaries.

Regardless, on November 27, 1978, just nine days after Jonestown, Mayor Moscone and City Supervisor Harvey Milk were murdered in their offices by former City Supervisor Dan White, who had avoided metal detectors by entering City Hall through the basement. Standing outside the building after the murders, Heather Cogswell reflected on the confusion when she said, “This is terrible what’s happening around us. First it’s the Peoples Temple crisis and then this.” Her friend Holly added, “I feel frightened, as if something awful is going on all around me. There’s no sense, there’s mesmerization, irrationality, sickness, craziness, and it’s all at random.”

Dan White’s attorney Doug Schmidt tried to link Jonestown to the murders during opening arguments, although the trial is more memorable for a defense psychiatrist’s suggestion of what came to be known as the Twinkie Defense. According to Martin Blinder, one of five therapists the defense called to the stand, it was White’s consumption of junk food that resulted in his depression (although it was actually HoHos and Ding Dongs that White ate). White’s main defense was “diminished capacity” that amounted to “a major mental illness,” a strategy which ultimately succeeded.

On May 21, 1979, Dan White was convicted of “manslaughter by diminished capacity,” the lightest sentence he could have been given for his crimes. Later that night crowds of angry people gathered around San Francisco’s City Hall, finally erupting into the violence of the aptly named White Night Riots. White was paroled in 1984, and after a brief stay in Ireland, he returned to San Francisco. A little more than a year later, White committed suicide at his home, connecting a garden hose to the exhaust pipe of his car.

But there would be several other unexplained murders connected with Peoples Temple in the years following Jonestown and the Milk/Moscone shootings.

• In 1980, former Temple members and high-profile defectors Elmer and Deanna Mertle, together with their 15-year-old daughter Daphene, were found shot execution style in their Berkeley home. The Mertles had founded the Concerned Relatives organization that was responsible for getting Congressman Ryan to investigate Jonestown. The crime was never solved.

• Concerned Relatives – and likely the Mertles themselves – had hired a private detective, Joe Mazor, to investigate Jones. Mazor, a mysterious figure in his own right, later joined Jones’ camp insofar as he provided the Temple’s leader with information about his antagonists. Mazor was shot and killed – apparently during a domestic dispute with his wife – in 1985.

• In October 1983, Laurence Mann, Guyana’s ambassador to the United States, whose relationship with Temple member Paula Adams began two years before Jonestown, shot and killed her and their young child in their suburban Washington apartment before turning the gun on himself.

• In February 1983, Tyrone Mitchell, whose parents, grandmother, brother and four sisters died in Jonestown, shot up an LA schoolyard, killing one child and injuring 11, before committing suicide.

The closer we look at the story of Jonestown, the more bizarre it becomes. Several questions still remain, and unfortunately there have been a shortage of answers. Although the metaphoric smoking gun in this case may be lying somewhere in the relentless Guyanese jungle, circumstantial evidence and “mesmerization” remains.

В ГОП против трампа ровно три человека, но один умер (Маккейн), а два других -- Ромни и Касич -- вот только что выступали на демократической конвенции.

Вся остальная ГОП это культ личности трампа, шаг влево шаг вправо даже не рассматривается.

Довольно странно этого не замечать.

The public legend about Zucker, furthered by Donald Trump
himself and buttressed by reports in conservative media
like Project Veritas, is that he despises Trump. We've
heard reports in recent years of Zucker ordering staff to
be "fully committed" to Trump's impeachment, for instance.

What these new tapes make plain is that this is likely
neither a personal nor political issue with Zucker, who
had a relationship with Trump dating back years. Zucker,
after all, had made Trump a media star back when he was
running NBC. He'd green-lit The Apprentice, which a pair
of Washington Post writers would later describe as a
"virtually nonstop advertisement for the Trump empire and
lifestyle."

Remember, this was a CNN-hosted debate, with Jake Tapper
emceeing the festivities.

Typically, any suggestion that a candidate has been
prepped in advance about debate questions, or given other
aid, is considered a scandal. It was a big deal when two
Fox sources told the New Yorker that Trump might have been
given questions in advance of the infamous Megyn Kelly
debate. Similarly, it was a mini-scandal when Donna
Brazile was forced by Wikileaks disclosures to admit she
shared topics with Hillary Clinton ahead of a CNN town
hall.

In this case, we have the president of the network set to
host a debate giving a candidate advice on how to handle a
Republican challenger, and the response has mostly been to
wonder if Carlson released this story as part of a
"long-running... war with the network that once employed
him."

It got worse. Zucker promised Cohen, "I'm going to give
him a call right now and I'm going to wish him luck in the
debate tonight."

Why Zucker said he would call, and not email, was the real punchline.

"I'm very conscious of not putting too much on email, as
you're a lawyer, as you understand," Zucker said, adding:

What these recordings reveal is that CNN's cartoonish role
as a determined and vituperative "fake news media" foil to
Trump - while perhaps real for some of the reporters and
broadcasters involved - is at least to some degree kabuki
theater for executives. Even as president, Trump to
network leaders is first and foremost a commodity, and an
extraordinarily valuable one at that. Were he not
president, Zucker might very well be offering him that
weekly show.

When Zucker tells Cohen he'd love to talk to Trump "every
day" but can't, because "I just can't have that," he's
explaining exactly what the coverage "change" was
about. Going more negative while increasing the raw amount
of attention - "copious coverage and aggressive coverage"
- allowed networks to retain or even increase the monster
ratings Trump offered, without earning the social
opprobrium that came with giving him softball coverage.

In another part of the tape, Zucker tried to explain to Cohen the facts of life. One can almost see him wrapping a fatherly arm around Cohen’s shoulder:

Here’s the thing… you cannot be elected president of the United States without CNN. Fox and MSNBC are irrelevant — irrelevant — in electing a general election candidate.

Ты такой один в целом свете, могу тебя обрадовать (если тебя такое радует, конечно).

То, что ты цитировал, если че, это типа частное мнение о том, что Фокс настолько затрамповский, что ему вредит. Мнение как мнение, в принципе, на тот момент может не самое глупое (хотя сейчас выглядит неубедительно).

Еще очень познавательный список "республиканцев против трампа", о да. Там один сенатор (Ромни), один представитель (который вышел из партии), 2 сенатора штатов (из которых одна вышла из партии), и 4 представителя штатов (из которых 2 вышли из партии). Потому что в ГОП против трампа никого нет, естественно. А если кто совсем слоупок и не понял, то их выгоняют.

Да нет, я просто привык, что он каждый день сообщает разное, и реагировать на это довольно глупо. Сердце красавицы склонно к измене. Даже если красавице сто лет в обед, и у нее искусственные волосы.

К очевидному культу личности Трампа в ГОП это в любом случае никакого отношения не имеет.

The president attacked Fox News and accused it of being ‘fed Democratic talking points’ – possibly over a string of anti-Trump ads due to run on the network

The breakdown between president and news channel was laid bare in a string of tweets from Trump on Sunday evening. Trump has occasionally criticized Fox News in recent months, but this attack went further, as Trump declared he wants “an alternative now”.

“[Fox News] just doesn’t get what’s happening! They are being fed Democrat talking points, and they play them without hesitation or research,” he tweeted.

“They forgot that Fake News @CNN & MSDNC [a term Trump has used for MSNBC] wouldn’t let @FoxNews participate, even a little bit, in the poor ratings Democrat Debates.”

Trump continued his criticism by attacking prominent Fox News personalities including the Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, before concluding: “The people who are watching @FoxNews, in record numbers (thank you President Trump), are angry. They want an alternative now. So do I!”

Trump did not give a specific reason for his upset, but it
could be linked to a critical advert a group of anti-Trump
Republicans are running on Fox News this week. Republicans
for the Rule of Law, a group opposed to the president,
paid for an ad spot during Fox & Friends – one of Trump’s
favorite shows – which highlights his response to the
coronavirus.
